	The MARTEZO gas generators are the products of more than 40 years of design and manufacturing experience. This expensive experience, coupled with the most recent innovations in metallurgy and engine manufacturing, has produced a gasifier of outstanding performance.	-- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION The MARTEZO gas generator can operate on wood or agricultural wastes.It consists of : A countercurrent gas generator, whose firebox is made of highly resistant refractory material to sustain high temperature and thermal shocks. A pyroligneous liquid collector that eliminates most of the tars and oil prior to gasification. A vapor condenser which collects most of the moisture contained in the gas prior to end use. A series of high performance filters is also installed.
	The gas generator is equiped with access, feed, emptying and cleaning doors, all of which are large and can be manually operated without any tool.
	USING THE GAS GENERATOR TO RUN AN ENGINE MARTEZO packages can be developed and adapted for almost any kind of engine available on the market. Engines can be used : 100 percent biomass gas : the diesel engine is modified to sparck ignition. An automatic air-gas mixing valve allows constant and smooth operation at variable load, without any handling. The ejected exhaust gas compound is below at the required standard E.C. - LOAD CAPACITY On one load of wood fuel, the gas generator can run for 6 hours at full capacity, using hard wood at 400 kg/m3 density and 20 percent moisture content or densified feedstock from 600 to 800 kg/m3 incresasing the autonomy. Option : this capacity can be increased upon request if sufficient space is avalaible at the installation site to operate 24h/24. - COMPARATIVE CONSUMPTION OF PRODUCING POWER WOOD vs. DIESEL FUEL : To produce 1 kWe, a gas generator requires 1,3 kg of wood at 20% moisture. MARTEZO equiped with the cogeneration device produces in additional 2 kW thermal. Variable operating costs using wood are only a fraction of what thez are when using diesel fuel. A generator set requires 0.350 liter of diesel fuel to produce 1 kWe more 1 kWt. - FEEDSTOCK CHARACTERISTICS The MARTEZO gas generator operates equally well with wood or agricultural wastes. The gas generator can use hard woods or softer woods or agricultural wastes such as coffee pulp, coconut shell with moisture content below 20%. The briquetting feedstock with an extra fine granulometry such as sawdust. Briquettes, plaquettes or round sticks are the most suitable fuel form. Recommended dimensions are 3 to 15 cm cube, according to the gas generator.   OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE A check-list which contains detailed operation and maintenance requirements is provided with each power plant. FACILITY AND SIMPLICITY The preparation of solid fuel requires : 1/2 hour for 1 m3 = 400 kg The loading of the feedstock in the generator requires 1/2 hour and a cooling starting every day. Cleaning is necessary every 500 hours operating. The maintenance and control requirements are identically at diesel generator set.   --
